Digital Citizenship and Internet Safety Awareness

Today, using a computer comes second nature to just about everyone! Students are in many cases encouraged and permitted to bring and use their own mobile devices to school for their work and projects! Fayette County as a district, has, for the past several years, put in place a comprehensive curriculum for all grade levels. Glendover students were no exception in taking part in learning about Social Media, how to use it safely as well as acting as positive cyber citizens. In addition, the school hosted a parent information night in October to help raise awareness and give guardians tools to help monitor their children and be diligent of how their students use the internet. On this page you will find helpful resources that will allow you and your children to use social media/internet as a useful source of information as well as an enjoyment outlet! There will also be links provided to those websites used in the Fayette County instructional units so that you will be able to investigate and understand just how dedicated the districted is to keeping all students safe while visiting cyber-space!
